My-SGOIL
In this project by Astar Media, pupils who learn through I-Sgoil, Scotland’s virtual school, share their experiences of online learning. Many of these young people, often known as interrupted learners, have found that traditional school environments can be overwhelming. Instead, they learn from home in virtual classrooms, where their education is shaped around their needs.
Through two powerful animations—one from the perspective of the learners and the other from the school—we explore what virtual schooling is really like. The young people reflect on the challenges they face, the support that makes a difference, and how online learning allows them to continue their education in a way that works for them.
These animations offer an insight into a different way of learning—one that ensures every young person has the chance to thrive, no matter their circumstances.
There are English and Gaelic versions of the animation below.
